as a martial arts fan and practitioner, evading and defense is beautiful. But in all due respects, in boxing - there's no points or credits for it. It is only for the serious boxing fan and afficionado not only to appreciate it but hold it as the highest standard of "fighting" - not getting hit.

Boxing as a sport has become an "offensive" sport only.

        Among casual fans.

Judges have historically seemed to credit Floyd Mayweather, James Toney, Pernell Whitaker and others for effective defense.

Funny you should say that as it was Bradley who was looking off balanced when he was trying to dodge and duck pacs punches. When people say Brad was hurt by pacs punch and caused Bradley to wobble, Brad fans said no he wasnt hurt he was off balance and stumbled trying to avoid Pacs punches.

Kind of like when an opponent gets Floyd on the ropes or lands some jabs and a few body punches, people go ape s**t.

Or when Floyd out lands his opponent all round, but his opponent gets him on the ropes once or twice in the round and land 2-3 good punches, and bias fans say he lost the round???

Yeah they were really biased. Screaming "Hook landed for Cotto!" when clearly nothing landed.

HBO made a 10-2 fight sound more competitive than it was.

That's not true. That fight was damn near even going into the 9th round. Fact is Floyd fans did the same thing Pacman fans are doing. Screaming blowout robbery in 2 competitive fights. Cotto got absolutely no credit for anything he did. He'' some commentators even said Floyd let Cotto bloody his nose. Same thing, different fighter.

pacquiao doesnt get enough credit for his own defense, ill give you that. its like bcuz his defense is garbage in some fights ppl ignore it even in the fights where its damn good.
Pac is so offensive that he is bound to get hit but when he wants to he can be very good defensively I'm just saying that bradley is getting too much credit for most of his punches getting blocked saying he was outboxing pac.

But then when pac misses with tim ducking for his life and not even countering it's such a big deal and bradley should be given points or something.
