Under Golden Boy, JMM fought better opposition.

Anyone else notice that? I'm sure he ain't making nowhere near what he made with Golden Boy. Why is Top Rank wasting the very little time JMM has left?

    With Golden Boy:
    1. Marco Antonio Barrera
    2. Manny Pacquiao
    3. Rocky Juarez (when he was still somebody)
    4. Joel Casamayor
    5. Juan Diaz
    6. Michael Katsidis
    7. Floyd Mayweather

With Top Rank (Pre and Post Golden Boy)

    Besides the Pacquiao 3 fight....????

Sure is. I wonder if he even gets anything over 1M Per fight?

His fit throwing has coincidentally happened with Bob to preclude fights. he turned down the Pac rematch in 2004, turned down Morales in 2005. Arum still got him two belts at Feather and the first and third Pac fights. Hasn't been all bad.

Under GBP, Marquez fought Casamayor, Diaz, Mayweather in a row, which at the time he fought all 3 respectively, were the best fighters he could have fought at the weight class. He beat The Ring champion Casamayor at 135 the beat the #1 ranked Juan Diaz after that, then fought the the #1 ranked WW Floyd Mayweather Jr. That's 3 tough fights back to back. Finishing up with Diaz and Katsidis to make it 5 tough fights in a row, going 4-1. And, IMO, starting from Casamayor, Marquez is 9-1.

Of course Top Rank writers will try to discredit Marquez though. Under GBP the guy fought the best of every division.

Pacquiao however, ducks the best guys of every division. He finally fought Bradley, gotta give him props for that.

I do agree JMM fought better opposition with GBP.

After he left Top Rank and backing out of the rematch with Pac, he fought nobodies until he lost to Chris John. After GBP signed him, GBP was banking on JMM that had a draw with Pac. So in order for JMM to be known to the general public, GBP matched him with good opponents.
