If he does indeed fight Sergio Martinez at 154-160, he doesn't need Pacquiao, it would be the other way around in my opinion.

exactly, Floyd was never in competition with Manny....he has to matchup to all the other ATG's who came before him. that is the measuring stick for both of them, even if they do end up fighting. its the only reason i argue 50/50 will be worth every penny lost for Floyd

If Sergio can beat Julio down on HBO PPV in a mega fight, he would definitely add some hype and fans, making him a bigger draw. Currently, he only drew like 3,000-4,000 fans for his Darren Barker fight, and the Macklin fight only sold well because of Macklin and St. Pattie's Day.

Man I really hope this is true, although it probably means no Pacquiao fight. But that's not going to happen until Pac recognizes Floyd generates more revenue per fight anyways.
