My favorite match up this year by far.

Mayweather-Cotto ****** on paper, but turned out being good. Regardless, it's not really a match up I liked.

Pacquiao-Bradley was a good match up on paper, it was a competitive like I thought it would be, I scored it a draw. But the fight has been destroyed by HBO, the media, fans.

Ward vs Dawson is a great fight on paper, whether it lacks action or not, I don't care. It's a fight I want to see. It's two prime fighters, i wanna see a win lose, or draw. I'm hoping Dawson can pull it off, but would praise Ward for a win too.

Does that mean he may throw more than 30 power punches a round!?

Chad Dawson doesn't know the meaning of "war."

Some of you need to understand that Ward was probably never thinking of fighting Dawson until Dawson himself called Ward out, at his own weight.

When that possibility opened, of course Ward would take the fight. If Chad's saying he can get to that weight, why not? It's not against Dawson's will or at a catchweight either. So why not? This is one of the best if not the best match up's of the year. Enjoy it, because I know I am, LIVE.

What are talking about Andre Ward is a spoiler who just clinches and holds and hits and that is considered boxing and in fighting. Dawson has been forced on us by HBO idiots and he doesn't throw more then 30 punches a round. I would rather watch brawler/boxers who don't initiate clinches every second and take risks then these two boring ass fighters. At least Ward has a ton of talent and has a beautiful style when he actually fights then boring ass Dawson.

Look another casual fan coming out the woodwork to hate on the sport. Go watch old fights on youtube if this elite match up doesn't interest you then. Dawson is one of the best technical fighters of our time and he's proved he can put the hurt on anyone if someone slips up.

Same goes for Ward, its obvious you haven't watched more than just highlights of his fights too. He has a smothering style, similar to Hopkins but ten times cleaner than The Executioner's style and will completely demolish anyone on the inside. Calslappy wouldn't even be able to come out alive if he ever fought him.

But you can't point to a hometown decision, can you? That's what I thought.

I wouldn't pay a dime to watch either of them fight. Their both boring as hell and if being boring is technical now a days then he's overly technical too!!! Ray

its not that being boring is considered being technical nowadays, its that being technical is considered boring nowadays. but how can you call yourself a boxing fan if you dont like boxing? boxing is to hit and not get hit, its the name of the game.

these fans today dont know or want to know anyhting about boxing, they just want to see blood and knockouts. blood and knockouts are great but so is seing a chessmatch, a good technical fight.

its all part of the sport, saying boxers and technical fights are dull is like saying you like football but only when your team is on offense and throwing the ball. getting mad whenever they make a running play and changing the channel when they go on defense. you cant just ignore part of the sport, certainly not the main part of the sport like boxing in the sport of boxing. the very thought is absurd yet all these mainstream fans are doing it nowadays.

back in the day fight fans were true fans of the sport so they appreciated technical fighters. ali for example was a pure boxer and still considered one of the most entertaining fighters in the sport. both ward and dawson are entertaining fighters, they put on beautiful displays of boxing and they always try to dominate and win big, not just squeak out a decision. they dont avoid contact all together either, they go in there to do damage they are just good enough to avoid getting hit in the process. thats boxing at its best.

if you dont like the sport, bcuz thats really what you are saying. why dont you stop watching boxing altogther? pay that dime of yours to watch some hobos fight in the street or check out the latest worldstar fight compilation for free.
