I won't believe the weight loss isn't an issue until the fight is over and I've seen for myself it wasn't an issue. I hope it isn't, but they really should have had this fight at a catchweight.

Dawson has made TOO many concessions which he will be SORRY about after Ward SPANKS his a$$ at 168lbs in Oakland!

personally i disagree. I think Dawson is in the same class.

He certainly has the tools. I just wish we saw more of the fire that would make him among the best in the sport.

I give Dawson much respect & credit for making such concessions in making this fight. The Sport is called boxing, NOT brawling, thats what is wrong with this sport in general, the Sweet Science & the Technique or Art form of Boxing, has made too many concessions, I like a good Boxing match, with 2 skilled fighters trying to outwit the other with skill & timing.

Most fighters in boxing this Era are mostly glorified brawlers anyhow, thats okay too, but its not MMA, & if the Boxing this Era , didnt include so much HOLDING & hugging, & more SKILL was involved with the "BOXER TYPES", then FANS would be entertained. The lack of REAL SKILL, solid technique, has lead fans to clamor more for the less fundamental "brawler types". I can understand that, after all, fans pay $$$, to be entertained & they want to see ACTION. Hopefully these 2 fighters, can bring that neccessary action, that the fans DESERVE.

Both fighters deserve props for this fight. Dawson for going down to SMW to fight one of elite P4P fighters and Ward taking on the challenge of fighting another elite P4Per especially after he was criticized for not taking the Bute fight right after the Super Six ended.

HBO won getting this fight btw, I feel bad for Showtime

he's just promoting the fight...dawson can say what he wants but the weight loss will affect his performance.

Ward will dominate this at 168. There should be a rematch at 175, where Ward will probably win in such fashion again, and prove he's far too low on some people's p4p list

i'm looking forward to this fight and i think it will be better then some think.3 to 4 years ago, dawson was top 10 p4p. ward is a great boxer but i can't help but feel chad is a very very live dog. ward might be an underrated fighter(although i feel he gets his props, fighting once outside cali is like a chris john of the states) I 'm thinkin a small wager on chad is just. props for dawson and ward for making this fight

I don't think either of the top two would have a more impressive victory in recent memory, certainly not since Manny tore through( a paste prime) Barrera six years ago.

Maybe so Mr Smash. It all depends on your criteria for No.1 P4P spot. The winner definitely deserves to be up there (unless Dawson comes in drained & Ward wins against a 50% Chad).
