Same with Mannys purse, would be ****** to publicly overestimate what you are earning, if anything you would downplay it.
He doesn't need to say an exact number for the IRS, he just needs to be honest to them about the revenue it generated. So he can tell the public certain numbers, and then tell the IRS the amount of revenue is created. If I'm not mistaken, he said the number of buys now for Pac-Mosley/JMM/Bradley, but we never heard a damn thing on how much revenue they generated. Which is why Schaefer and Oscar said Bob Arum would never open his books to have someone break down what the split should be based on PPV revenue generated.

Bob Arum said Pac-Mosley did 1.3, Pac-JMM did 1.4, and now Pac-Bradley has done 900K-1.0 according to him. We haven't heard HBO release those numbers officially at all, and we never heard Arum say how much revenue the PPV buys generated, because he can't lie about that, if he indeed was lying. If he wasn't, why not say how much revenue those fights generated based on PPV buys???

Where as with Floyd, the only event that wasn't HBO confirmed as far as PPV goes, was Mayweather-Ortiz. GBP said the fight did 1.25M, but they did release the fact that it generated 78 Million in PPV revenue. So if they were lying about that, they would have been in trouble for sure.

Floyd's card should have done double what Pac did with Bradley.
Making it the highest grossing fight ever? against Cotto? a shot, lost his last big fights in Mosley? A relatively unknown Alvarez?

some of you need to stop with the hate. I don't care for May all that much either but he's the biggest star in the sport hands down.

but then Floyd fans turn around and say that Floyd has the PPV numbers without considering that Floyd thinks "business" before "truly qualified opponents".
do you really consider timmy a "qualified" opponent? you cannot cry because arum roach and pac tried to play with fire by picking a man that hasnt ko'd any one in 5 years, is know for not having ko power. they thought that pac would wage war with tim look good by koing tim then they could say pac is back. and ask your self this, if floyd is so flawed why does he have a part in the top 3 non-heavy wt bouts? he owns the title of ppv king. he has out sold oscar. he and oscar co-own the biggest non heavy wt bout. then floyd has the next two. if pac would fight outside of top rank perhaps he can generate some exciting bouts.

Pac/Bradley is on par with Floyd/Ortiz. Too bad the Floyd/Ortiz #'s were never officially released. Lets see if HBO releases the Pac/Bradley #'s.
Despite rumors that the show had grossly underperformed, R I N G T V.com reports that the September 17 pay-per-view event featuring the Mayweather vs Ortiz main event sold 1.25 million pay-per-views, and generated $78,440,000 in pay-per-view revenue, making it the second-biggest non-heavyweight event ever in terms of the revenue generated by the sales of the show.

Personally, I don't compare what Pac-Bradley to Mayweather-Cotto. I think Bradley is a more comparable to Ortiz. And even though 900K is excellent, its not as good as the 1.25M Money did with Ortiz. Just like Pac's 1.25M with Cotto isn't as good as the 1.5M Mayweather did. All in all, this is about what was expected. Pac generally draws a couple hundred thousand less than Mayweather. At this point I think its clear that Mayweather is the bigger draw and the 50/50 or nothing stance by Pac is nonsense.

True but Ortiz actually headlined and filled some stadiums and I feel the Mexicans bought it May 5th and all.
