Based on the early indications, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum believes the June 9th HBO pay-per-view between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley will generate more than 900,000 buys. The controversial fight generated a live gate of $8,963,180 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas - with 13,229 tickets sold. There were 2,070 unsold tickets and 925 comps given out. So the Mayweather-Cotto numbers crapped all over this? So much for 50-50.

Floyd/Cotto/Canelo/Mosley on Cinco De Mayo vs Pac.

Floyd's card should have done double what Pac did with Bradley.

It's widely known that Arum exaggerates his numbers on a constant basis. What are you children crying about? 800k is good, considering that's all Pacquiao's drawing power.

That's the thing. Floyd always says, "it's business first" .... Floyd knew that Cotto will help bring in the numbers. Plus having Mosley and Canelo is an added bonus that represent different fan bases and therefore bring in more PPV hits.

but then Floyd fans turn around and say that Floyd has the PPV numbers without considering that Floyd thinks "business" before "truly qualified opponents".

they should have thought about that before they put the card together, then. Doesn't change the numbers.

Don't forget that $20 Tecate rebate for a $55 PPV

The fight was really $15 for those who took advantage of that.
