Salido vs Lopez 2!!! By far, but we're only half way into the year. Hasn't been a great year for boxing... I was really disappointed with the way Arce vs Rojas turned out, but I could see Soto vs Lucas & Ortiz vs Canelo as good candidates.

It was pretty good because I guess we didn't know how it would go. Alvarado had he stronger shots, but Herrera wouldn't stop. Both gave it.

i'll guess that the BWAA would give the nod to these two. that's kind of how they roll.
they dont have the guts to nominate a fight that the average boxing fan has not seen

Usually FOTY are ones on big broadcasters like HBO. Khan Maidana won the 2010 right, but IMO there were 2 fights that were better, I just forgot them now though LOL.

Cotto and May was pretty active and also showed a lot of everything from speed, physical control, strong jabs, hooks, upper cutts, a tight guard defense VS a shoulder roll, counters, blood, shakey legs. It was not a classic, classic, but was enjoyable for me.
