    Promoter and adviser Sampson Lewkowicz is furious with the latest turn of events involving his planned show for September 7th at the Hard Rock Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Lewkowicz was under the impression that he finalized the details for a planned fight between WBA featherweight champion Celestino "Pelenchín" Caballero (36-4, 23KOs) and mandatory challenger Mikey Garcia (28-0, 24KOs). The fight was originally scheduled for July 28th in Indio, California and Telefutura was going to televise.

    Why is Lewkowicz allowed to participate in a purse bid for a fight where he doesn't promote either fighter? I'm confused.

      complicated as the Purse bid $$$ came from Floyd Jr but getting in2 the WBA held ground in Panama & all the intrntll BS there, plus Mendoza who's been WBA head since Adam & the Garden of Eden, is virtually an inpossible eggg 2 crack, & REMEMBER Sampson was suspended in Panama last year...Payack???

        Purse bids are open to all promoters... that's the intention of a purse bid, for the fight to literally go to the highest bidder.
