After a tune up he should fight Chavez Jr, who should move up after the Martinez fight.

I think by that time, Bute will have several loses on his record. By then, we'll know for sure if Bute really had any elite level skills after all.

That's one of the reasons why I don't think people should be so quick to write him off as a bum who got exposed. He was more dominant against Bika than Ward and Calzaghe were. Yes he should be 1-1 against Andrade but he's still the first man to ever stop him. Bute is not finished he still got a lot to offer.

The absurd is the Bika, McGee, and miranda fights were all there was to elevate this hype to elite status, even above the runner up in the S6.
I can't believe how many clowns had Bute defeating Froch, based on his worthless past 3 year fight farce.

Don't get me wrong, Lucien Bute is a decent fighter. It's just that he has really done nothing in his career so far to justify placing him in the 1,2,3, or even 4 position in the SMW division.
Here's my breakdown on top SMW:

          1. Ward
          2. Froch
          3. Dirrell
          4. Kessler
          5. Stieglitz
          6. Bute

if I were Bute's management, I'd get him a couple warm ups, like the sort of weak competition he's been facing the last 3 years. Then I'd get a fight with Pavlik or Stieglitz.

Hold up, first you said Bika would be too much for Bute and now that you know Bute already spanked him you're saying Bute's resume is worthless?

He should fight Pavlik or Oosthuizen.

His resume isn't as good as Ward, Froch, or Kessler, but he does have some solid wins.

Bika, Mendy, Andrade, Magee, and Johnson. Not great or anything, but there's some solid/decent wins on there.

he should keep fighting Top Fighters, why in the hell should he go back to fighting BUMS just to get an impressive win so people can start up the hype again...you been fighting Bums long enough, fight the next Top Contender in your Division and try to get a big win!

Fight Andre Dirrell! Or what about Kelly Pavlik!

Man your words doesn't make any sense at all, at least to me...

What weak competition are you talking about?

Bute will beat Pavlik and Stieglitz, no need for warm ups imo

On what basis are you ranking Dirrell at no. 3?
