Confirmed HBO doing a 2 part 24/7 for Chavez Jr. vs. Martinez

Julio has solid chin and he will SURELY put BIG pressure on Martinez. The question is can Jr be effective with that pressure against an advanced and skilled fighter like Martinez.

it's unfortunate new faces people aren't familiar with like chavez and martinez only get 2 episodes while fighters that have been featured numerous times (floyd, pacquiao, cotto) get four episodes. It should be the other way around. 4 episodes seems like it might be too much for either class of fighters actually. People have began complaining about floyd talking to his money, Pac talking about God and Cotto kissing his manager for awhile now, 3 episodes seems like a safer cap.

Some of that, he's just joking and that's just his sense of humor. It can look funny, but mere kissing and hugging, I've come to respect him for his sincerity, his openness and his willingness not to try to hide his true sentiments. He loves his family and his close friend and shows it as he pleases. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. It actually shows he's a strong character to not be swayed by other people's judgement.

The 2-part HBO 24/7 confirms to me at least that Chavez Jr. vs. Martinez will be moved to October 6th, I think Bob Arum is pissed because Golden Boy decided to announce Canelo vs. Ortiz for Sept. 15th which is Mexican Independence Day before Ortiz officially won. This may be an "unspoken" rule like MLB that GBP did so they can officially secure the date. Merchant pretty much let the cat out of the bag when he said the back-up plan was October 6th.

Martinez has a really great back story, but the more I think about it, I'm not sure how interesting he'd be during training camp. Dude has no wife and kids, very small entourage, and whatever family he has is in Argentina. Apparently he has gf, but he seems to be very private about it. You need a supporting cast to have good 24/7.

Have you seen his stand up comedy (Martinez). He's pretty damn funny. Jcc sr needs no translator either. Hes just funny.

You wouldn't want to unleash Roger and Floyd Sr onto JCC...he is just a retired guy enjoying seeing his son experience success...HBO making him deal with the Mayweather clan would be really hilarious but entirely disrespectful to JCC's privacy.
