Comments Thread For: Jorge Arce: I'm No Coward, I'll Fight Rojas in Puerto Rico!

Last week five division world champion Jorge "Travieso" Arce insisted that he wasn't looking past his opponent on Saturday night. With names such as Nonito Donaire, Orlando Salido, and Jhonny Gonzalez looming as potential future opponents it would have been easy for Arce to overlook the relatively unknown Jesus Rojas.

Most people that have watched Arce for years know he isn't a coward....

I'm not surprised by this at all. El Travieso is a proud warrior

Whether Arce took an out or not, he was going to be in for a long night against the Boricua. Rojas dominates him in a re-match.

Did anybody else not see a headbutt (major one atleast)? I only saw a couple replays, wasnt really focusing but all i saw was a low blow and a kidney punch iirc.

and lol at saying the punch was 'to the back' of the ear....It was square on the ear, legal, and rocked your bell.

Arce is a proven blood and guts warrior. For whatever reason, maybe he was feeling weak or something on fight night, he wanted out of the fight and used the situation as an excuse.

I want to give Arce the benefit of the doubt. It was an impressive triple foul combo. I'm pretty sure the Butt came first though, then the low blow. The night of the fight I got the impression that Rojas was to strong and accurate for Arce. I told my friends Arce would be stopped soon, I think he should stay far away from Rojas. I'm anxious to see this kid fight again.
