After the Williams vs Lara, Rio's vs Abril, and Pacquaio vs Bradley fights I'm losing faith in Boxing
Solution for Boxing Scoring
Have open scoring where the boxer/trainers and audience can see the score after each round. How it works:
Basically like the Olympics have three judges, every time they see a clean shot the judges would press a button….would take two out of the three judges for the point to count. Boxer with the most points after the round gets a 10-9 round.
A knock down would be an automatic 10-9 round so if the boxer with the most points gets knocked down it would be scored a 9-9 round. Or vice versa if the boxer who was wining on points scores a knockdown it would be a 10-8 round.
I know the Olympics did this after the Roy Jones Jr. robbery but I believe a knockdown is consider just one point, I may be wrong.
If the fight ends in a draw...they can award points for aggressiveness, ring generalship, and activity.
