    Solution for Better Scoring?

After the Williams vs Lara, Rio's vs Abril, and Pacquaio vs Bradley fights I'm losing faith in Boxing

    Solution for Boxing Scoring

Have open scoring where the boxer/trainers and audience can see the score after each round. How it works:
Basically like the Olympics have three judges, every time they see a clean shot the judges would press a button….would take two out of the three judges for the point to count. Boxer with the most points after the round gets a 10-9 round.
A knock down would be an automatic 10-9 round so if the boxer with the most points gets knocked down it would be scored a 9-9 round. Or vice versa if the boxer who was wining on points scores a knockdown it would be a 10-8 round.
I know the Olympics did this after the Roy Jones Jr. robbery but I believe a knockdown is consider just one point, I may be wrong.
If the fight ends in a draw...they can award points for aggressiveness, ring generalship, and activity.

    Your thoughts?

      1. add a fourth judge that uses the same television feed the fans see to judge the fights.

      2. There has to be accountability & reprimand for judges that turn in dubious scorecards.

      3. No more 70 & 80 year old judges or referees. IN ANY SPORT.

Pac probably thought he was winning by a country mile so eased off slightly. But he wasnt to know the judges had other things in mind so it would be a good idea.
Itd take some getting used to, but everything would be clear and see thru.

The amateur systems is way worse then the pros, way more room for corruption

It only takes punches landed and completely ignores things like effectiveness

You want to punish judges fore having a different opinion than others? Hell no... If they did this there's no point having judges just let the fans decide by phone in.

No a computer isn't judging the fight, it would take two trained certified judges to agree on a shot. Anything is better than what we currently have, image if Pacquiao knew the judges had the fight almost even after 10 rounds, don't you think Pacquiao would of turned up the heat in the 11th and 12th round?

for universal dubious scorecards only. If there is accountability in other sports why cant there be one in boxing?

also how do you come to the conclusion of accountability & reprimand dubious scorecards = letting fans phone in to decide?

That's a good ideal, kind of like how Lederman scores for HBO and explains his score card to the viewers. And yes have accountablitiy and reprimands for bad judging.

There's no right or wrong in opinions. The only reason we are having this discussion is because the majority think it was the wrong decision. If we are going to decide who won based on a majority they might as well make it like xfactor, that way the majority always wins.
