I agree, rounds 2 & 3 were close. I had the fight even after 6; 1-3 to Lee and 4-6 to Jr. Even though I gave 2 and 3 to Lee, Jr. was beating Lee up from rounds 2 -6 with solid shots to the body.

Had Lee listened to Steward and stuck to box him and staying in the middle of the ring, who knows.

But credit to Chavez Jr. He worked the body brilliantly, was impressed with that aspect of his boxing.
Maybe you didn't hear Lee after the fight. If he could of stayed in the middle of the ring and box Jr then he would have. Chavez walked him down and Lee couldn't keep him off. It doesn't matter how good Lee could box or what Steward was telling him to do, Jr was simply too big and too strong..

I never go by lederman's scoring either, but i had Chavez ahead slightly. His power shots wore Lee down pretty quick. This kid can ****in punch

That sounds about right to me. Lee won the 1st 3 rounds convincingly. It didn't take much as JCC jr didn't do much. From the onset you could tell JCC jr was going for the KO. His body blows were breaking down Lee. He never planned on the fight making it to the score cards.

i had it even, lee won the early rounds but still u could see he was in trouble his jab couldn't keep chavez off him and he didn't turn chavez he walked str8 back into the ropes and corners where some really nice body shots were taking his legs....i admit i didn't think much of chavez jr a couple fights ago but always watched his fights cuz its fun to watch a big guy go on the inside with fighters and make it fight..but i am very impressed with his progress

This is another fight where virtually EVERY SINGLE SIGNIFICANT PUNCH was landed by JCC JR.

              These Judges are ruining boxing.

And you toss Rubio's name out to try to legitimize Jr's record, now that is hilarious. Bute got crucified by many fans for fighting the same level of competition that Chavez has been fighting and then he got blitzed when he stepped up.

I had it 3-3 going into the 7th round. You could ssee Julio was starting to take over though.

Funny how all these people say "Lee is going to beat and expose Chavez, this is a tough fight", and now it's "Lee is a bum". Tons and tons of people thought Lee was going to give Chavez hell, and Julio put on a hell of a performance against a solid Middleweight contender.

Excited for Chavez-Martinez, if it happens.
