    Boxing will NEVER DIE!!!

I know we've seen egregious decisions it seems like left and right over the past couple of years, but this has been happening since the beginning of the sports creation. I like the UFC, but its not boxing. A great UFC fight could never compare to a great Boxing match. Of course im a die hard fan and biased if you want to call it that. But when its done right, and that means by all parties involved, fighters, ref's, judge's, promoter's, it is the best sport in the world to witness. It embodies everything life does, we fight everyday to survive in this cold world, and nothing puts a man's will and skill to test then a competitive boxing match can. PPV's are hurting the sport, but it doesn't matter at the end of the day, because there are various outlets to seeing a fight without paying, casino, internet, friends house, co-worker fight party etc. But as fans its up to us to be diligent in picking which fight is worth are money or trouble in finding a way to watch. I'm not boycotting anything, i love boxing, **** these promoters, **** the judges, i don't give a **** about neither, I care about those men that put there blood sweat and tears into the craft in preparation for one night, and i don't need nobody to tell me who won a fight i decide that, we decide that. You can give a loss to man who really deserved a win and that sucks but this is nothing new and has been going on forever, but the fact of the matter is for those who really know whats going on will know that regardless of what history officially states(as far as who won or who lost) the true fans know who won. We know who won chavez-whitaker, holyfield-lewis, leonard-hearns 2, etc. etc. whether current or older then even we are, the true fans know, so im not trying to stem the backlash from last weeks ppv fight, cause it was another bad decision, but its not the first and wont be the last. But the true fight fans know, and in 30 years when espn classics does a rundown of Pacmans career or any fighter worth note that has been jobbed, they'll explain so justly.

I don't like UFC but I admit that I don't watch as much boxing these days. I don't have enough time to download all the fights and watch them plus I find a lot of the modern guys boring, if I watch a fight it tends to be a classic rather than a modern one. Heck these days I'm not even sure I know all the title holders, it's just a mess.

I still watch a few guys that I like but at the moment I'm fed up with the modern game.

Very well said. Those claiming boxing died Saturday night have never been real fans of the sport and don't know any other boxers outside of Manny and Mayweather. I respect both of them equally, but boxing is bigger than they are and will outlive them both.
