    Pacquiao in the Rankings

I know this had to have been posted already, but I couldn't find a thread.

Pacquiao has not moved down in the ratings for p4p or at 147.

I know not many people agree with the decision, but it is an official decision.

Does the ring/sactioning bodies have to consider official decisions of fights to determine they're ratings?

His record was updated so they did acknowledge that the fight took place.

    Thoughts?

    Nope.

They did the same thing with Erislandy Lara and Paul Williams. No special treatment.

I dont see that he should go down considering he looked great losing! He looked better than Bradley winning thats for sure.

So the outcome of a fight has no impact on the ratings?

Unless it is an outcome that they agree with?

They obviously think Pac won by a large margin so why would he go down? In fact he should have cemented his number spot now with his convincing performance over Brad.

I understand what you are saying, but i just don't understand why they don't stand by the official decision.

What if Pac was the Ring Magazine champ.

Would they not award the title to Bradley if that was the case?

                  Yeah that is my point...

Should that decision move him down in the divisional rankings?

P4P rankings are based purely on opinion. They're not going to move him because this fight is perceived as a robbery that Pac won... so I don't see them changing it any time soon.
