I think comparing these numbers to Ortiz numbers is the most fair way to look at it.
I have no clue of the Ortiz-Mayweather ticket sales and all of that stuff though.
Tix sold – 13,364
Unsold – 3,052
Comps – 1,268

Compare that to Mayweather with 36 tickets unsold...
Less then 9 million gate compared to Mayweather's 12 million.
50/50!!
weird thing is there was less hype for this fight than a lot of pacs other fights but this is his 3rd biggest gate of his career, this did better than cotto, mosley and hatton which all did around 8.8mil at the gate

Please for the love of god, don't compare these numbers to Mayweather/Cotto, since no one outside of Tim Bradley's dad knows who he is.Last edited by switchsouthpaw; 06-13-2012, 06:09 PM.

To be fair we have to realize that at least 1/3 of the gate (and PPV) buys were Cubans or cuban defectors supporting Rigendioux, and when you consider that both Kennedy and Jones come from philly (who support their fighters well), that's another third right there. Pac has more fans than Bradley so we can assume he is responsible for has 2/3 of the final 1/3 of the revenue, so he is really responsible for about 20 percent of the total purse.
It is safe to say that Manny has little to no drawing power. If this fight does 1 million ppv buys than it means Pac was only responsible for 220,000 people! And he wants 50/50 with Floyd?
