Even if you don't read much you'll like this book if you like boxing, guaranteed. It was written in '58 so everything is right out of the mid-50s. The characters are terrific and there's tons of talk about boxing that's just incredible.
I steer clear of most fictions because it's either to badly written or too pretentious, so you can take my word on this that it's great. If you feel like reading something, pick this book up for sure.
Just make sure you skip the foreward by Elmore Leonard, in which he gives away the ending. Thanks, Leronard.
