Last time I saw Mike Mollo fight was in 2008 against Golota.

I see in his boxrec he hasn't fought since 2010. Are these the guys Arreola is going to fight? At least fight an active HW. Are Povetkin or Solis free?

Why is a mismatch like Mollo-Arreola on ShoBox?

Arreola needs to man up and start fighting better opposition, he's not a young prospect any more. His last decent opponent was over two years ago.

after the loss to adamek chris fell to the bottom of the ranks and has been pushing for a fight with w.klitscho no one really wants to fight chris so he is working his way back up to be a mandatory ... all the other champion heavyweights are busy and chris took this fight on short notice just to stay busy!! they added chris to the card to make the night exciting because berto vs ortiz fell apart!!! chris will be fighting wlad by the end of this year!!! chris worked his way up again but klitschko is busy with thompson next month so chris took this fight to stay active!!!

should praise chris for taking this fight on short notice/ and risking dropping in the ranks when he is now the #1 to face w. klitschko!!!

Arreola shouldn't be praised for taking the "Shannon Briggs bum 'o the month" route to a title shot.

Also, by fighting lower level opposition, it does nothing to prepare him for fighting an elite champion like Wlad.

I think Arreola is contend fighting journeyman boxers. Fighting low quality opponents is not going to prepare him to fight Wlad Klitsckho and other highly skilled boxers. Why doesn't Arreola call out Price, Helenius, Fury, Solis, Haye, and Povetkin?

They could easily afford to have Arreola fight someone who's top 50 and has been active, like Michael Grant or Franklin Lawrence.

true didnt mollo just fail a medical for franklin lawrence.
either way top 25 heavyweight fighter>>>>>Arreolla

it would be funny if Wlad changes his mind and fights Price instead

Yes. Mollo failed a medical, so this fight is a disgrace.

Wlad should look at other potential opponents (Pulev, Price, Fury, etc) until Arreola defeats a top 50 heavyweight. Price will a least have one solid win if he fights and defeats Perez.
