Anyone think Ortiz should have took a tune up at 154 instead?

Berto put him in a bad spot he didn't have many options and was preparing for a 147 fight really he should have had a tune up right around March when the fight got canceled the 1st timeComment

That doesn't make him a JMW though. He goes up there to fight, he only jumped up to MW to fight with the other contenders.
You trying to lecture me on Gomez? Are you serious?
I've been following that dude since 2005, you're a dumbass.
Trying to pull your boxrec on me.
Stick to Khan, you'll be fine.Comment

Nah, as long as he shakes the rust off against Lopez he'll be alright.
Hell, i think 154 is where he is naturally and belongs now anyway. Looked like he had to try pretty hard to lose those last pounds against Floyd.
Gomez isn't really a junior middleweight. He was way too small to do anything to Canelo.Comment

This will be a great and interesting fight, I will for sure buy this fight too. I just hope Ortiz doesn't somehow lose this fight as Golden Boy needs to have this fight do well. I'm surprised that Showtime is doing it though, I think a 24/7 for this fight would do wonders for the hype. I'm sure Fight Camp 360 will be alright but it's nowhere in the class of 24/7.Comment

Canelo is a short stubby dude, he has to walk around like 180, and Victor Ortiz walks around 170's and pretty lean. I still don't know how Ortiz was able to make 140 being a lean already, Freddie Roach said when he sparred Manny for the David Diaz fight when Manny was at 135 that Ortiz was weighing 165 during sparring.Comment
