He might be my new favorite fighter out right now. Complete domination in his last two fights. I hope he finds a way to get away from Top Rank though.

Rigo is great and everything so why can't I get his fight with Cordoba out of my head.

Cordoba is a good vet with some pop.

          That's the part I can't shake.

There are much better people at his weight than who he's fought recently.

          It gives me pause.

Maybe he is all that but maybe not

great fighter, very good counterpuncher, lethal left hand...hasn't disappointed yet, other than the mentioned, hesitantly fought Cordoba bout, but sometimes that's what you get when both guys focus on countering.

rigondeaux showed exceptional speed (especially with that left hand) and power...BUT against a very outmatched opponent. i'd like to see donaire vs rigondeaux either later this year or if not then early next year...i think donaire beats rigo btw.

I would like that very much. WVII would be just the kind of opponent Guillermo needs at this point in his career, in my opinion. Rigo can't just step into a fight with Donaire after trouncing guys like Teon. By the same token, as you say, Nonito would be facing a much higher-quality opponent than ever in Rigo.

It was only Teon Kennedy, but god damn Rigondeaux is f**king incredible.

Everyone knows he's not going to get any fights with guys like Nishioka-Mares-Moreno-Arce because it would put crazy pressure on Arum to make Rigo-Donaire if Rigo stomps those guys. The best fights he'll are solid/good fights with guys like Shimoda, Vazquez Jr/R. Marquez, Ndlovu, or Molitor, until Donaire leaves the division of course.

It's funny how Donaire fans stick up for him straight up refusing, and publicly admitting, he will not fight Rigondeaux.

I wouldn't mind seeing him fight the Vazquez Jr-R. Marquez winner, Shimoda, Molitor, or Ndlovu. All good fights for him. He's not going to sniff a Donaire fight ever, it's never going to happen. And he's not going to get big fights with Nishioka, Mares, Moreno, or Arce, because it'd put big pressure on Arum to make Rigo-Donaire if Rigo beats one or two of those guys.

Anyone find it hilarious how Donaire says he didn't bother watching Rigos last fight.
