BoxingScene.com has confirmed that the IBF has given formal sanction approval for the welterweight voluntary eliminator for the #2 position, between #3 ranked Carson Jones and #5 ranked Kell Brook. The bout is scheduled for July 7, 2012 at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield, England. Kell Brook must be devastated, the Welterweight/ Junior Middleweight divisions are by the far the most exciting and money spinning right now and he just can't seem to break through.
He thought the Matthew Hatton fight would do but now he has to go through Jones, Saldivia and Bailey before he will even be considered for the big money fights.
Despite being untested the guy has got skills.
