    Pacman on the way out?????

When Manny Pacquiao systematically destroyed Oscar De La Hoya the whole boxing world saw a star. Oscar may have been weight drained and aged but he still was a massive PPV Draw and the way Pacquiao beat him was stupendous.

Following on, impressive wins against Hatton and Cotto lead Pacquiao to be a worldwide sensation.

Against Clottey its hard to knock Pacman as Clottey just covered up. He started defensive and finished defensive. He didnt come to fight.

Then came in my opinion Pacquiao's most impressive win, against Antonio Margarito. He completely outclassed Margarito with his speed, power and volume punching leading to Margarito suffering a fractured right orbital bone.

However since then he hasnt perfomed. He beat a shot mosley, and was distinctively unimpressive.

He then in most peoples opinion lost to Juan Manuel Marquez, and even in victory looked a shadow of himself. Marquez controlled the action in eight of twelve rounds in my opinion.

And then Timothy Bradley comes into the fold. When the fight was made there was a lot of skeptism in the boxing world but eventually people warmed to the fight as Bradley was portrayed as a dangerous young champion with steel like determination. Im not questioning that but from the moment i saw the fight made i knew Bradley was a mismatch. This fight was supposed to make Manny look good so his claim for a 50/50 split with Mayweather was justified. There is no doubt that he won against Bradley, the judges were a disgrace.

The question that now enters my head is that all the boxing pundits go on about manny's speed and power. It was the way Pacquiao was beating respected boxers that created this worldwide hype.

It seems to me that in comparison to Floyd who is 2 years older, has got old slowly. Now doubt now at there ages there not the fighters that they once were. But the reason why Floyd looks good at 35 is that he has made adjustments that accomodate his age. He preserves energy by having such a great defence. Against Cotto he was on the ropes and not moving his feet but blocking most of his punches.

Whereas, manny is still searching to knock opponents out. Roach's predictions dont help.
The truth is that Manny has aged very quickly, he still is p4p no 2 in my opinion but has lost that electricity he used to bring to the ring. The fight against Bradley was flat and even when Bradley took a good shot, manny couldnt follow up.

The morale: Mayweather deserves what he's demanding, and Manny would get outpointed by Mayweather by a huge margin.

Pacquiao can still fight, he's past his prime-still good, same as Floyd right now.

Pac proved last saturday he can still fight, and while the fight was way way way more competitive than the people who saying it should have been 11-1, Pac clearly should have won and looked pretty good.

He can still fight will for another 2-3 fights I think. Same as Floyd.

I tend to think he's also not as hungry as he once was. Maybe he is just shot, but I don't see the fire I used to.

I wasnt saying he cant fight, but Roach has claimed before the last three fights that manny will finish these guys. after watching the fight the first time around i was with HBO on there card. but watching it back with no sound i can see why some of the rounds were scored for Bradley, Manny didnt start until a minute left in the round.

he can fight 2-3 times more but none of them against Floyd. Floyd will be too good.
