That was just dirty and I believe that turned the fight in Tito's favor. Tito was wobbily and about to get KTFO but resorted to a cheap low blow.

I was steamed. I wanted Vargas Mr Machismo to be brought down to Earth before the fight, but I wanted Tito to get his ass kicked after that cause Tito was being billed as the nice, likeable guya and then to do some shyt like that was pretty shock...

I hated it at the time, but it really didn't matter. They were trading punches, and Tito was the bigger puncher. Vargas was going down sooner or later regardless.

tito's just one of those punchers who cant help but throw a few below the belt. he doesnt do it intentionally (sometimes he does) but most of the time, i think they're body shots that fall a little too low.

but no, i didnt lose respect for tito cuz o that.

Yeah but Tito was marketed as like a good guy... a very moral and honest guy.

Well I've never thought that about Trinidad, so I didn't feel lied to or anything when that happened. I was rooting for Vargas, but the first round told the story. Vargas is one of my all time favorites, he has more heart than anyone I've ever seen aside from Corrales. But Trinidad was the bigger puncher and thus the inevitable victor.
