montell was a good fighter and was giving roy fits but the fight was pretty even. roy is ahead after that round had he not been dq'ed.

i can only say what ive heard.. i believe montell was undefeated until jones.. he was up on i think 2 of the judges score cards.. but in that second fight.. the first punch was sick.. and im just surprised roy didnt do that when they first fought.. that was some crazy power.. he droped.. then tried to get up and fell..Comment

When you take into account 'if' Griffen hadn't got knocked out in that round, he would have lost it 10-8.
The scoring doesn't include the final round.
Griffen maybe won 4 of the first 9, and that was unheard of for a Jones opponent. But he was starting to get hurt in the last few rounds. Foul or not, he wasn't making it to the end of that fight.Comment

nah, griffin got hit but he was fine until he figured something out when the ref looked concerned, then he played it up.
he gave roy fits but not in the second fight

Griffen was getting stopped regardless.
Even without the extra foul shots, he would have got up, lost the round 10-8 as it was, and got stopped before the bell.
He was eating big shots and was on his way out.Comment
