is there an explanation as to why EvilSaint is so ******ed?
I'm going to study for finals so feel free to cuss the comp out for hours so I can read it all tomorrow, jackass
everyone's asking the same thing about ur lack of intelligence. you should be more concerned about how many people think ur an idiot before you throw that label at others.
Someone mentioned steroids...that's interesting. In the latest Ring mag, Doctor Goodman talks about how steroid tests are EASILY faked by boxers and nothing's being done about it. It wouldn't surprise me at all if that was a factor, but, while Vargas was on steroids for DLH, no one knows if he was B4 that and he looked like a mdan good fighter before that, so...I'd say no.
Tito? Ya never know. Athletes have money and managers and I'm sure Don King knows about steroids and probably has his fighters use them in some cases...knowingly or unknowingly. Who knows, but it is a belief by some that steroid use is widespread in boxing, and it's not hard to imagine given the ease with which the tests can be passed. A boxer can use em all through training and as long as they stop in time they won't show up on the test.
Anyway...I don't know what to make of Mosley. I think some of his success might be attributed to steroid use. There were a LOT of rumors about it, but not only that, he was able to go from 135 to 147 and OUTSLUG DLH. He has an unusual physique and power for such a small man. And he has looked FLAT since Balco has fallen out, and there were a lot of rumors about him being involved in Balco. Shane's sudden fall from grace is puzzling. He got beat by Forrest but not so badly that it should have caused him permanent physical drawbacks. If it's not steroids or the cause of Forrest, then it might just be psychological. He is not an alpha male anymore. Maybe all 3 things play a part: steroids, Forrest beatdown, and lack of confidence. Or maybe when he quit steroids he lost confidence and then got beatdown by Forrest...lol.
Oh, I forgot to cover Vargas. It's obvious in his case. He just got killed by Tito and Oscar. He also has a thyroid problem (perhaps or perhaps not accelerated by steroid use) and back problem, both of these problems seemingly got much worse after the Oscar loss and steroid-suspension. Either way I just think he was damaged like many others were by Tito, and then Oscar finished the job.
It's not the years, it's the mileage. Fighters develop weak chins because your brain can't heal the same way the rest of your body can. How much punishment your brain can take is just a matter of genetics, I guess. Lifestyle outside the ring could probably have a pretty big impact as well. Even if you're in tip-top shape, physically, who knows what drug use could do to your brain in terms of getting KO'd.
I think the punishment Vargas took from Trinidad and Oscar may have been enough to leave his brain a little weak.
Mosley still seems to have a good chin ... maybe in his case it is a bit of the years as well.
