the ref was bad for ONE fight. how about his other fights in oakland? or are you pretending they were unfair too? are you that big a hater you need to make things up entirely?
in reality ward has no more help from referees than any other fighter in the sport, in oakland or anywhere else. besides kesslers mom couldve been the ref and he still wouldve got his ass whupped.
as for the weight, i would rather see it at 175 too. that way theres no excuses if ward wins. but it was dawson who said hes willing to fight at 168, he wants to take wards title. nothing wrong with that, aint like its a catchweight.
this ward hate is sad, hes a great fighter and a great person. i know you hate that an american outclassed all the europeans and won the super six, but it happened so deal with it.Comment

Kev, I was the 1st one who defended Ward for having the fight at 168. Yes, asking for Oakland would be his 1st thing he asked for but at some point you have to be reasonable. If he wants to ask for the home ring advantage as his 1st thing then cool but atleast take it to Vegas or even the Staples Center. There is a point where the line stops for everyone.
Sure Chad asked for the fight but everyone ask for fights in boxing. Thats how they get made. It would be one thing if Oakland was a natural fight destination like Vegas, AC, or NY where you might get an assorment of fans but its not. It will be 99% Ward fans. This is on top of him not traveling over seas for 1 fight in the Super 6.
Its a good win for Ward no matter what but the fact is there are critics and points will be taken off for having it at 168 and in Oakland. I wont penalyze him for 168 but I will for Oakland. He can still have the home crowd in Vegas or Staples without it being literally in his hometownComment

Ward is not the one that called out Dawson, it was Dawson is the one that Called Out Ward and he voluntarily said "I CAN MAKE 168"...Ward is not "FORCING ANYBODY TO DO ANYTHING"
Regardless I am a big fan of both fighters, both current Top 10 P4P Fighters, very highly SKILLED GUYS, I look forward to this match up...this match is not for the Casual/Part Time/Just A Mayweather and/or Pacquiao Fan type of FANS...yeah it is going to be boring for a guy that is only looking to see two unskilled BUMS try to knock each other out with 4-6 rounds...this will be a Chess Match and I respect both fighters for having the BALLS to take on each other...that is a lot better then some overrated fighter that make excuses about him not wanted to fight a fighter "BECAUSE HIS STYLE IS BORING" or just looking for Slow Flat Footed Bums who can only fight coming forward and has no defense, head movement or footwork and his Defense is taking punches to the face
and by the way Andre Ward is building a nice following in the Bay Area, he is drawing well at the Oracle Arena their and his fan base will only get bigger especially after winning the Super 6 so if he wants to fight in his hometown and he can draw well their then WTF is the Problem, it is not like the guy is in his back yard collecting controversial wins to stay undefeated like SOME FIGHTERS! the Bay Area is exciting about boxing and they Support their own: Kareem Mayfield, Andre Ward, Robert Guerrero, Nonito Donaire just to name a few also Comcast Sports Bay Area spotlight their fighters from the Bay and try to give them TV time which is great for BoxingLast edited by KnockUTheFukOut; 06-09-2012, 03:42 PM.Comment
