Let me tell you something about backing straight up. Khan backs straight up. That's why he always runs into this thing called the ropes. Marquez's back barely touched the ropes because he moved laterally. (That means side to side for the learning impaired).
And that's also why he's such a sucker for the overhand right.

Marquez fought on the back foot, constantly circling backwards to the left, away from Pacquiao left and in position to land his straight right.

He countered punch waited for Pacquiao to over reach then land a counter then move again. Some times he led but most the time he was always moving away.

Pacquiao failed to get his right hook into play early and should have upped the pressure more early on.

Bradley cannot fight this style so why bring up the Marquez fight.

Which brings us back to square 1. You need to watch Bradley fight.

I've seen Bradley fight, about 6/7 of his fights, very good fighter, but Pacquiao is exceptional and has edges over him in almost everything.

I just hope Bradley does himself proud and doesn't get Hattonized.

Bradley hasn't had to fight anyone where he needed to box/counter-punch as much as he needs to right now. It doesn't mean he isn't capable of doing so, it means that it's something we haven't HAD to see him do. He didn't respect Alexander, so he dictated the pace. He made adjustments in the Peterson and Holt fights and boxed/counter-punched some, but Marquez built his entire strategy on counter-punching and out-maneuvering Pac. Now saying that, I don't expect him to fight entirely on the back-foot and being defensive-minded, not because he can't, but because it won't win him the fight and it doesn't suit some of his strengths. That is why all the Marquez fights are relevant, because although it's proclaimed to be the "blue-print", he still hasn't gotten a victory. Marquez has made Pac look amateurish and downright foolish at times, but the judges do not give him the nod.

The only things that Pacman has over Bradley is a little more pop & speed. Nothing else.

As always you are are underestimating Pacquiao, I hope Bradley ain't doing the same thing.
