Pavlik didn't show me enuf 2 say he's a contender @ '68 vs a guy that lost 2 Nicklow that pavlik turned down...next step up, if he's smart would b Bute which'll tell how much he lacks/needs to go or quit...no way ready 4 Froch/Ward etc...

Good to see him fighting his way back, Hope he can get some of the juice back in him and then we can see him back at the top against the top guys at 168, Would never forget his run of 2007/2008 when he fought to get his chance at Jermaine Taylor and then the way he finish Taylor just made me love the guy.

Apparently Pavlik vs. Bute could happen in the fall. Wouldn't mind that. If Pavlik can't beat Bute, there's no way he's beating Ward, Froch, or Kessler. And if Bute beats Pavlik, it's a solid win over a name fighter. But if Pavlik does beat Bute, he's right in the thick if things at 168. And if Bute loses, his career may be over.

he looked sloppy and unimpressive. he has a long way to go before he should get in the ring w anyone slick. that includes Bute! i like pav but his glory days are over unless he can regain some foot and hand speed! bottom line

He did look kinda unimpressive,but if his intent was to get some work all is good I guess. I was impressed with him in one round where he was lighting his opponent up with everything. He was tossing out jabs, right hands, uppercuts and left hooks to the body very impressively. I'm surprised the guy survived that.

He fought the other guy's fight a lot of the time, but still dominated him. If he was a little less macho, he could just clinch and wait for the ref to break, so he could keep the smaller fighter at the end of his punches. But that's not Kelly's style. On the other hand, he got an opportunity to work on his inside fighting against a fighter who posed no danger. If he ever fights Froch or Ward, he'll have to be comfortable fighting in the trenches.
