that video doesn't show anything special some of you margarito fans are disgusting trying to compare what he did to what other fighters do or have done just to try to make it excetable but it's not he's a cheater.pacquiao may wrap his hands illegaly but the commision has not yet said anything about it and the way manny wraps his hands did not start during the margarito fight it started during the delahoya fight when roach got upsset about the way oscar wrapped his hands and the fact that the commision didn't have a problem with it so roach said o k i'm going to wake a special wrap for manny and we are going to see if he likes it now i'm not saying that it's right but it is not as bad obviously as what margarito was caught trying to do

I like Cotto, so I'm not going to say what may or may not have happened in that fight. At the end of the day, even though now they dispute this, his trainer (or someone from his side) was in the room when Marg got wrapped and he never made a complaint. I'd rather take that into account than what Cotto has to say after a fighter from a rival country gives him his first loss. Obviously he's going to be upset and if there's su****ion of cheating later on, then naturally as a proud and tough fighter he's going to use it to justify (at least to himself) how he could've lost to someone less skilled than himself.

I mean no issue was made the night of the fight, but later on they said no one was there, whereas the Marg camp says a Cotto team member was present. If there wasn't anyone present then Cotto should be blaming his own guys cause that's standard procedure.

Mosley used steroids when he fought Oscar at 154. It isn't cool, and he paid a price for it. Mosley went on to lose 4 fights against Forrest and Wright at that weight. I think he used them to try to fight at 154, Mosley never belonged up there.

But in my opinion it's not comparable to plaster in your gloves.. That will kill somebody. Steroids arguably made Mosley perform worse. Bigger + slower.

personally i'll never forgive margarito for wearing plaster.

you dont go in to a fight against a guy who lost to a man you blew out with plaster for the first time.

he had plaster in his wraps for other fights.


that being said, he's one of the hardest and best chinned men to ever box. i remember distinctly feeling like his display of chin against cotto in the first fight was the best i've ever seen. cotto can punch and he was literally bouncing combinations off of margarito's face. i've never seen anything like it.

anybody who has taken a punch to the head knows what i'm talking about. margarito's chin is super human. he hardly even blinks when he takes a big shot.

a product of his toughness, conditioning, and more importantly a genetic predisposition toward the effective absorption of punishment.
the guy was a gifted punch taker. as gifted as you will ever see.
