    Sharmba Mitchell is on something...

Mitchell has an interview on Boxing Talk

    Some notable things he said:

    * was shocked Richard Steele stopped the fight with Mayweather
    * was "fighting a tactical fight"
    * he said he wasn't surprised Mayweather went for the KO early cause "he was either going to box me or try to KO me" [the obvious question is... HOW ELSE IS HE GOING TO FIGHT YOU?]
    * claims he was right in the mix "boxing" with Mayweather
    * compared that fight to Taylor-Chavez (WTF)
    * wants to fight Gatti (Gatti would KO his ass too)
    * felt just as fast as Mayweather

well, while it became basically a given that he had no chance to win the fight, i remember the stoppage was pretty strange, wasn't he knocked down, then back up before the ref finished his count? i don't remember, might dig that fight up again and watch it tonight.

well, he sure did not look like he was keeping up to Mayweather and I think regardless of if Steele stopped it abit early or not he really was not doing very good and did not see that the fight was goona go his way anytime soon, so I did not see much wrong with stoppage. Guy just gonna gettig whats left of his brain rattled more as fight went on so... why complain??

I agree with him that the stoppage was unwarranted as he was never really hurt by Mayweather, but he was taking a shellacking and could only hope to win by KO. I like Sharmba, but I didn't see that as likely.
