all this "ricky hatton all over again" sounds really ****** to the experienced fight fan.
ricky was 44/1 going in and had an excellent 42 kos, he fought some really tough opponents during his career and up until facing pacman nobody could touch him at 140.
lets look at it, first he beat the british tough guys such as jonny thaxton,eammon macgee etc and then moved up and faced rios,stewart,tackie,pederson,philips,kostya tzyu,olivera,etc these are all very tough men.
then, before kudos is given by the yanks, he went to yanksville and floored collazo immediately in the opener and struggled out the win.
afterwards admitting he was hurt a number of times and said 147 was not his true weight class but, still won.
still in america he beat urango who is very tough and knocked out the geezer that gave floyd mayweather the fright of his life.
after floyd he had two immediate wins over alledged world class operators and won prior to his loss to pacman.
two points an experienced fight fan will pick up on here,
first,styles make fights.
second, he has been in alot of wars and has been hit with biiiig shots during his career and was never very quick so put these together and what you have is an obvious easy win for pacman as predicted by roach....."within three rnds".
so, dont run him down like hes a nobody because he was one of the most exciting 140Ib fighters of the last 20/30 yrs and had certainly the biggest fan base of a fighter in modern times and this does not come with being boring or a shiet fighter does it?
