Roy Jones Jr. but that is just because he wouldn't have to fight himself..
Who Goes Through Bernard Hopkins Resume Undefeated?

With the exception of a prime RJJ (nobody beats), I'd say Monzon and Ward get honorable mentions.Comment

the truth right here^^^^^^
ALMOST added Bute to that list....he was calling his name for a while but Chad had first dibs on the oldmanComment

I hoped that he would pick Bute first over Dawson because he had a great chance at winning that fight. I could just picture Bute's face being in the ring with the eXecutioner.Comment

Funny, because Hop virtually used your exact words here to describe Mayweather.
Roy, Hop, Toney, Mayweather and Pac are prob the guys that spring to my mind when discussing some of the best fighters of 90's and 2000's.Comment

Roy Jones couldn't go through an arguably weaker resume through 1993-2011 undefeated, so why would we believe he'd go through Hopkins' resume undefeated?
Saying a "Prime" Roy Jones takes away from the whole point of the thread in my opinion...lol...who's gonna stay "prime" through 13 major title defenses of that caliber, especially over a 20 year span? by the time Hop beat De La Hoya, Roy was already half the fighter he was in his prime.
The point of arguing a "resume" is to review longevity among other things, no?
(and before anybody jumps the gun, Roy Jones is right up there with SRL as my favorite fighter of all time)Last edited by MalikKnucklez; 06-06-2012, 01:01 AM.Comment
