Are all of you floydiots this ****** not to know how a promotional campaign works??!! This promo by Tecate does not in any way diminish the PPV price of the fight, they are simply shouldering the $40 out of the per PPV buy... So if the base price is $50 per PPV buy then a Tecate drinker will benefit by paying only $10 and the rest will be beer money for him... Tecate knows how huge this fight is so they are investing this much on this fight hoping in return they will capture the non-Tecate drinking market... If you don't want to drink Tecate then pay $50 for the fight, but if you want to save some bucks then try and taste the beer, you may like it...
So when this fight with the rebate STILL does under the buys that Mayweather does remember that Pacquiao did disappointing numbers with a $10 buck ppv.
50/50 looooool.
It's not all $10 bucks, you still have to buy around $20 worth of Tecate...
its a marketing strategy... i don't see anything wrong about it... it will help sell the fight, tecate's products and probably win new casual fans on the process... i don't see the logic of tying this with the 50/50 split for the floyd-manny fight...
hes been having rebates for his fights for a while now, to help get people to buy his fights b.c bobby doesnt think anyone will buy as reg price you fool
******!! These are just one of the marketing strategies brought up by big companies like Tecate to ride on a particular huge event that they know will help them sell their products... Bigger rebates means bigger investment for the endorsers such as Tecate, bigger investments means they are exerting a large amount of trust that the said event will help them dramatically in selling out their products... Don't you notice that a boxing match/event that doesn't have any big endorsers doesn't reach primetime... And if it was Arum who instigated something like this, it should have been tied up with Top Rank, somekind of promo with TR benefiting in the end not TECATE.... And as i gathered it's only open to a couple of states, maybe to the ones that Tecate needs some extra boost in sales....
