A prime Williams would of been a very bad matchup for Cotto.

Like someone already said, Williams stylistically is similar to Margarito except he's faster, bigger, longer reach and has better all around skills.

Williams would of stopped Cotto imo.

I like how everyone used to call Margarito and Clottey the other two most avoided at 147. I guess Cotto manned up when he fought them.

Oh come on guys Cotto can **** and prime Cotto fought with real tenacity not like nowadays when he looks ***** in exchanges. Before Margs he wouldn't mind getting tagged to get some nice shots in. Williams was not hard to hit and he doesn't have adamantium for a chin like Margo so it would've kept him honest.

Williams by UD in a good fight.

Funny how People still use Peterson VS Khan and Marg VS Cotto.

IMO Both would not have done what they did without the 'help' they had.

Pete and Khan was close and IMO his extra help allowed him to get close and manhandle Khan. Marg was able to smash Cotto' face. Remember Cotto won like 6 out of 7 rounds.

Seems like I'm in the minority, but I'd take Cotto by a close decision. Williams biggest problem was always adapting and Cotto was no slouch boxing. I think he would pull out the decision despite Williams workrate.
