Comments Thread For: Donaire in Great Shape, Preparing For a Taller Opponent

Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire is in awesome shape after training like he never trained before for his WBO super bantamweight title defense in a unification bout with IBF champion Jeffrey Mathebula of South Africa on July 7 at the Home Dept Center in Carson City, California.

No matter if the boxer is taller or shorter than nonito as long as the last name is not rigondeaux...

I await the Rigondeaux match also.

He's fighting the weakest belt holder in the division here.

I don't mind this fight. Mathebula is a Top 10 SBW, champion, and beat Ndlovu to win his title. This is a solid fight.

Have you guys ever even seen Jeffrey Mathebula fight? How do you know he's garbage and the weakest champ? I can't even find any video clips.

He also arguably beat Caballero in a close fight in Panama.

Only footage I can find of him.

Rigondeaux is going to fight vs Teon Kennedy this Saturday on the Pacman – Bradley event; I hope he can send a clear message to Nonito.

I don't think he can be classed as a bad fighter, but when the other champs are Rigondeaux, Donaire and Mares, I think it's fair to call him the weakest of the belt holders.
