So he wasnt a top featherweight because of a decision loss to gamboa?

I seem to remember salido dropping gamboa and giving him the most competition anyone has.

He wasnt hadn't done much since beating guerrero but beat cruz for the belt. That is not a top featherweaight in my opinion. He was supposed to be an easy fight for lopez.

Well of course Calderon was the favorite, he was an old undefeated champ fighting above his weight but Segura was the classical younger, bigger, stronger challenger. I don't remember the hype for the fight tho. Yeah I don't know who Fuentes is either. Still, good for the rivalry, there's money to be made, that's what it's about.

That was a 50- 50 fight unlike the fights I mentioned which were supposed to be blowouts for the young guns but backfired on the rican champs.

i just don't think marquez has the power at this weight,he was great at 118 and 122 but once he went to featherweight his power stayed down,,plus he's also a lot older and beat up,i think vazquez might win this one just because he's stronger and younger,not because he has more skills,but a good win for vazquez just because of the name on his record
