Carlos Quintana...That's going to be the PPV fight.

Quintana is coming off a KO victory on the undercard of the biggest PPV of the year. Which Canelo was also on.

It's on Mexican Independence Day weekend, and Canelo being arguably the most popular Mexican. Will take part in what could be sold as Mexican-Puerto Rican rivalry continuing.

Whack ass fight kind of makes sense

      Co headline:

      Canelo vs Trout
      Lara vs Molina

For one, is Canelio vs Trout a worthy ppv headliner

For two, your building a Lara fight down the road by giving him so.e exposure on a ppv card.

Ill be honest I was surprised, and impressed he was willing to take on Williams, but they may of thought that Williams was shot, and it may of been perceived as a huge step up/risk but ended up not being... with Lara? I dont know man... a slick PRIME boxer... they will probably steer clear of that.
True. The poster citing Mayorga made some sense from a saving the PPV standpoint. Oh god, could we see Jermain Taylor?

I actually meant to say Canelo can't catch a break[with finding opponents that will please the fans]. Too lazy to edit it though.

Two opponents that would have brought crowd pleasing styles, and are top fighters in his division, and both of them got injured and can't fight. Obviously Williams was way worse. Also, a win over either of them would have further legitimize a fight with Mayweather.

In a perfect world, we get at least Canelo-Cotto. If Canelo was out looking for the best possible fighter at 154 not named Mayweather, he'd fight Lara.

I personally don't think Canelo vs Trout is PPV worthy, maybe to us the hardcore fans but not appealing to anyone outside of it.

                Unfortunately it makes sense.

Damn, Quintana was already knocked out by an injured Andre Berto. Canelo who is more powerful than Berto I think, will destroy Quintana.
