Golovkin pirog 2012 fight of the year!

Absolute props to Pirog for taking this tough fight against Golovkin. It's a shame Sturm gets away with this easy unification.

Anyway, Pirog vs Golovkin is a toss up and I'm thrilled to see both guys in the ring! This could turn out to be a classic!

Pirog - Golovkin will be a sik fight no doubt, but Geale is a good shot at beating Sturm, he is a good fighter and will probably beat him but the judging could be an issue.

After reading the article a couple thoughts:

1) *** Ross Greenberg

2) Where are the people who love claiming that Pirog is unwilling to face top guys. The accusation of ducking Golovkin perhaps most prevelant.

3) N'jikam must be great at sucking **** and has finally got what he's been seeking which is being handed a free belt. It backfired in the WBA when he dropped his Interm belt after they finally were going to force him to face Golovkin (after having backed out of 4 fights with him Sturm style) but after being gifted yet another Interm belt by the WBO he finally gets handed a Title for doing nothing.

Pirog - Golovkin will be a sik fight no doubt, but Geale is a good shot at beating Sturm, he is a good fighter and will probably beat him but the judging could be an issue.

I know that styles make fights and fighter A beat B and therefore should win against fighter C is not always valid, but consider the ease with which Sturm disposed of Sylvester. Now this same Sylvester almost won/ barely lost a SD against Gaele. Geale is a soft punching windmill, considering Sturms tight defense and his jabbing all night, he will have no problems to win this easily.

Therefore, Golovkin vs Pirog is the only toss up here and way more exciting, considering the punching power of the two!
