I think this will be a very good fast paced chess match. Sturm is becoming for susceptible to pressure fighters now as seen against Macklin and Murray, but against Zbik he showed that he still is still a very good fighter when fighting guys who elect to fight him from a distance.
Geale is more of the latter, a well schooled boxer who likes to fight and outbox guys from the outside, he is better than Zbik though so I expect it to be a closely contested fight. But what are the chances of him getting a decision in a close fight in Germany against Felix Sturm?

Anyway, I don't care about that. Maybe you don't either. Eitherway, Sturm's last few fights have been highly entertaining. Can't say the same for many supposed elite fighters.Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 05-31-2012, 09:29 AM.

I like this a lot!! Macklin, Zbik, Geale, FFS I know the guy's avoiding Glovokin but give him some props. Said it once and I'll say it again, Macklin fight was close, very close and He did enough to win. Finally ****'s starting to happen in the Middleweight division!! Nearly all of the contenders are in meaningful fights; Strum V Geale, Pirog V Glovokin, Chavez V Lee.... Macklin V Barker would be an awesome addition!

Some good middleweight matchups coming up:
Lee-Chavez June 16
Pirog-Golovkin Aug 25
Sturm-Geale Sep 1

The winner of Pirog-Golovkin should fight the winner of Sturm-Geale.
Whoever comes out on top can then challenge Sergio to unify all the belts.

As much as I want to call this another duck for Sturm, this fight makes way more sense than Sturm vs Golovkin. Germans know Geale from when he beat Sylvester. This could potentially be a big fight in Germany, especially now that it's a unification.
