the toughest question to answer here is when do you consider Nard to have been in his prime?
The Bernard Hopkins that I grew up watching like to junkyard dog it in the ring, the last time I really saw him do this as a fighting tactic was his fight with Keith Holmes.
Hopkins gets killed applying these tactics to a prime Hagler!
The Hopkins post-Holmes focused on his defense and counter punch abilities more then ever (Tito had something to do with this trend for sure).
The older more boring version of Bernard Hopkins may stand a chance but again when was he in his prime. -

I'm old enough to remember Hagler beating Minter, that was the first fight I attended, it was Wembley in London in 1980.
In my opinion Hagler was in a different class to Hopkins and would have beaten him either by a late stoppage or comfortable points win.
Hagler for me was the perfect Middleweight, he could box and fight, he could punch, had good hand speed and skills and had a chin like stone.
In 67 fights he lost three times on points, two quite early on and then the SD to Leonard.
In the 67 fights he also had 52 KO's he was awesome and was almost never in a dull fight!Comment

Prime hagler beats everyone at middle 2 outta 3 times cept for maybe monzon, but i havent seen to many monzon fights so id pick hagler anywayComment

Monzon beats Hagler 2 times out of 3.
Hagler was one of the best middleweights of all time. He is ASSURED a place in the top 3 IMO. I would believe Hagler to knock Hopkins out somewhere down the stretch of the fight.
This coming from a HUGE Hagler fan though...Comment
