Am i the only one who thinks Canelo is the real deal?

It seems 99% of this forum think he's a hypejob....i dont think i've come across any big fans of his on this forum. It's pretty much unanimously agreed that he is a GoldenBoy hypejob.

I rate him very highly and think he is the real deal. Real deal being i think he is certainly one of the best young boxers in the world today and think he'll be right up those p4p rankings in years to come.

So let's see, are there any more who like me, think he's the real deal and not just a GBP hypejob?

By real deal i dont mean he could beat both Pacquiao and Mayweather put together on the same night....just saying i rate him very highly...wether he could beat Mayweather or not is a different story....

I will be honest with you. I want to believe he's the real deal. I hope he's the real deal. But I need to see him beat some quality opponents. Top tier quality opponents. This sport is all about who you beat. Not how many.

i rate him highly but he is young, eben though he has a lot of fights and experience i just think he is being built up too much and is being put under a lot of pressure, is he really worthy of his headliner status in the upcomming ppv event as the and is gbp pushing him too soon?? how would a defeat affect his career after all the hype??? i rate him highly, just hope he isn't discarded if something goes wrong and he loses or has a few bad performances

I want to believe he is. But he needs some 10 10 ranked contenders on his resume. He's young and strong. If he dont start fighting "worthy" Boxers, he'll be nothing more than a Red Head, Chavez JR

I believe in him. I don't think I've ever seen a more complete 22 year old since Floyd/Oscar.

I'm a fan. He destroys Kirkland. His major challenge now will be Lara.

He's 21 years old, it's simply too early to tell. Some guys that age, you just know he's going to be a star. Canelo isn't one of them. Not to say he won't have a good career, but it isn't obvious like a 21 year old Floyd was.

Canelo has to answer a lot of questions, mainly his stamina, before we can put him in the "real deal" category.

IMO he is the real deal. For only being 21 years old I see a lot of potential and room for growth. He is already a top 154 fighter. Just imagine him in a few years, say when he is 25. Kid is going to be a top 5 P4P in the next couple of years. He will destroy Kirkland and I can see him beating Vanes, the toughest challenge will be Lara. Cotto will give him a tough fight but Cotto is too old and will eventually fold under the younger and stronger Canelo..
