yeah but you don't get it do you even though I mentioned it in my post, he was ONLY 17 years old and he achieved a silver medal in the athens olympics, that in it self is pretty amazing whether you like the guy or not, also he was the SOLE boxing representative for team GB, which makes it even more amazing, so I'm sure you can understand why he gets so much attention over Price and them lot. -
None of those guys were the sole boxing representative for Team GB boxing olympics nor aged 17.Originally posted by StayRealIve never known a SILVER medalist have such a high profile, the guy was a loser in the amateurs and he's a loser in the professional world. 99% of GOLD medalists don't get the profile he gets, I wonder why? Its obviously because theres a lot of South Asians in the UK and around the world, yet they are a rarity in sport, all they have is this 1 average guy to represent all of them so they overhype him.
Look at the likes of Bronze medalist Tony Jeffries, he never got any publicity.
David Price has only recently started to get the attention he deserves. James Degale won GOLD yet he never got 10% of the fame Khan has had.
It's a joke that theyve chosen him to carry the torch, in fact Khan's whole career is one big overhyped comedy act.
You are the joke!Comment

Can't believe the hate Khan gets to be honest, especially when you consider the personality some boxers have (ahem Adrian Broner?). Anyway sorry to repeat what's been said numerous times, but he was our sole representative at The Olympics, when still a child at 17, and he kicked ass. Of course he deserves to carry the torch through Bolton. Go on Amir!Comment
