Good job. When you can't counter or you don't like a point of view, make personal attacks. Is s Pacquiao your daddy? If not no need to be so overprotective.

For floydiots. If Pac is overrated what can you say about your girl? Pac resume and accomplishments leave Floyd in the dust.

              LOL@learn boxing.

When you wait until your 41st fight to step up to the big stage you've padded your record with BUMS.

If you think I'm wrong, then judge Pacquiao as if he only had those 40 fights. Where would he be ranked? What would his status today be? Who would know his name outside of local Asian gyms?

Don't try to hype up Manny's padded resume just because he got knocked out twice by the bums he fought. Truthfully, none of you so-called fans even factor in the fact that Manny was KTFO twice by journeymen. You turn a blind eye to the facts in favor of idol worship. If Floyd had been KTFO twice every short round on this site would be all over it with a youtube video. ESPECIALLY IF IT WERE BUMS THAT KNOCKED HIM OUT!

              Cut the crap.

Do you post without reading the discussion? This post answers the question for you and it was a page away. Read and weep.

Exactly, just like how these same cheerleaders keep dwelling on the Castillo fight.

You know it's true. In general there is a lot ethnic tensions in boxing, this is just magnified 100% because both Floyd and Manny are so popular.

However, there have been much worse cases of hype jobs than Manny Pacquiao. Yes, Pacquiao is the beneficiary of plenty of hype since signing to fight Oscar DelaHoya and every fight since then, but prior to the DLH bout Pacquiao had a legitimate campaign while rising up the ranks.

Sure Manny padded the hell out of his record with 30+ fights against obscure bums in southeast Asia, but he's has some scraps against solid name fighters that legitimize him being seen as a top brawler.

Bute never really has. Calzaghe really didn't either until Jones and Hopkins got old.

What really legitimizes a fighter as elite is if he can face the top 3 in a given division(s) and win over and over again. If he can reign with longevity against the top 3, and then move up and do it again against a new set of top 3, and do it again and again and again and again ... there are no questions left about his well deserved perception.

If someone hides out in a corner and only fights bums for 98% of their career and then adds a few faded names towards the end ... but is hailed as some conqueror of the sport ... well then that's overrated.

A LOT of names fit that criteria. Lots.
If you look at Pac records closely without Floyd ***** covering your eyes. Pac in the span of his career he fought 6 undefeated fighters and 21 world champions (rematches) plus he fought in 31 titles fights. He was the first 8 divisions champ in the world and the first 4 lineals division champ in the world, a p4p #1 for almost 5 years straight and fighter of the decade. But of course you can't see it.

Numbers look flash dont they lol , when you say 8 titles and we all know the 154 was a paper fake it makes you look with more scrutiny at the rest and when you do you see all the special Manny conditions that start to come through , all the very selective opponents , Manny is a top fighter but his WW campaign was built on hype and made to order opponents for the simple masses looking for a hero .

A notch on the handle dont mean its legit , history tears a resume down to real worth and Manny has got a lot of holes in his .
