Is Manny Pacquiao the most overrated fighter of the past 25 years?

I'm picking Bradley via UD.

I asked you this because I see a lot of people who dislike Manny state that he will KO Bradley.

I also see a reoccurring theme with all of Manny's fights in which posters, who are know Pacquiao haters, claim that Manny will steam roll his opponents and that they are all cherry picks (unless it's Floyd or Sergio).

Now don't get me wrong, Pacquiao fans do the same thing when Floyd fights, but the topic I'm on his haters overrating Manny.

Tim Bradley and others are good fighters and for someone to think he steamrolls them....yeah that's overrating Pacquiao....something I see a lot of Pacquiao haters doing every time Manny faces an opponent.

WHy is it that you have to be a manny hater? WHy wouldn't you pick manny by KO? He's the much better fighter, a 5-1 favorite, Tim is moving up in weight. He doesn't have the reach or speed advantage.

The problem with your response is that it's not that poster who has stated this but boxing insiders, writers and historians.

They gave him the Fighter of the Decade Award. They are the ones that have let the boxing world know of his accomplishments.

Now I hope you aren't delusional enough try to discredit them, just because they say something you don't wanna hear.

The reason so many people feel pac is overrated is epitomized in this post. Longer p4p#1 reign, more hall of fame wins, more hall of famers beaten are just not true. If manny's fans didn't spend so much time overexaggerating and lying about what he's done, then there wouldn't be any problems.

Manny is a 1st ballot HOF'er no question. He has done things others haven't. But he isn't the best of his generation.

Agreed. But examination of the resume is where we differentiate.

For example, I'm sure you would factually point out manny has won 8 titles in 8 different weight classes. I would factually point out he won 2 of those titles at a catchweight, and one of them against an opponent who was 1-1-1 at the weight. So for you as a manny fan, his JMW title is an accomplishment worth recognizing. For me, its an accomplishment that should be laughed at, considering he and Margs fought at 150 and their combined record at time of title fight above 147 lbs was 1-1-1.
