Winky made his early career off traveling abroad to whoop guys. I don't think he's in much of a position to make those kind of shots these days.

Beggers can't be choosers, if he wants a title fight he will need to do what it takes to get it and that most likely involves traveling.

Although somebody could want to try and make a name for themself in the US and Winky is not exactly a draw so it is not like he would have a huge homefield advantage but still brings a decent ammount of name recognition.

If Winky is going to fight on, he has to use what he has to get the biggest possible fights.

Winky's picture will be back on the side of a milk carton faster than it will be on the side of a title belt...

all i could see if him possibly somehow talking Dibella and Sergio into something ridiculous if he wins.

Oh most definitely agree with you. What I meant to write was "I don't think he is in a position to call those kind of shots anymore". He has wasted too many years of his prime in hiatus. BHOP took his soul because he hasn't been the same since.

Winky could never really call the shots even at his biggest that wasn't happening.

Still he has a name and most 160 pounders really need to build their name, especially in the US (if they care about that) and even beating an old Winky would still help in most cases.

He had Mosley at his will during the rematch negotiations. Yeah, I'd like to see Winky do something but he is well past his best. I was impressed he went 12 with Williams like he did. Then he went into hiding again.

He might be able to beat Qullin, I wouldn't bet on it but there is a possibility, I don't think he would beat any champ that was the real deal but Sturm ain't no spring chicken, Gaele is very unproven, Pirog is unproven, JCC Jr. is unproven and Martinez is not a spring chicken either.

I don't really think Winky could make waves but that list of fighters is not exactly a fearsome fivesome either. If he is going to fight, he might as well go big.

I like Winky but he is his own worst enemy. Quillin is going to put him in a body bag.

Agreed the Winky that fought Williams can beat a few of those guys. Martinez....not a good idea!
