Molina was spent and Kirkland was getting to Molina and had him hurt. Kirkland can turn a fight around and has the equalizer. Boxing is a business and it is about marketability, not who is deserving, everyone knows, so should you.

Molina is more marketable then Kirkland in this scenario for a shot vs Canelo since he's from Mexico and has plenty of fans in his hometown in Chicago and has never been KTFO

I feel for him alot. Because He was only hated because he was a real threat to welterweights best so instead of putting those guys on blast, the Punisher was hated on instead.
I like how people are now saying he was a threat, yet last week everyone said the dude was done and couldn't keep up with everyone else.

It sucks he got in the motorcycle accident, but let's not have this tragedy change our opinions on where he is/was at in boxing.

If Molina wouldve had the punching power power that Alvarez does, he would have got Kirkland out of there in 1 round.

I think they should just make Canelo-Cotto in Sept.

It's a very dangerous fight for both men, at a crucial part of their careers, but it's a crossroads fight that would be great for fans!..

              make it happen GBP!!!

Not true. Molina has been an ESPN fighter while Kirkland has fought on Showtime for many fights. Kirkland puts more people in the seats and is overwhelmingly considered more exciting. Lets face it, Molina is really good but he stunk out the place with holding. He will be back on ESPN soon.

if the fight is made in Chicago it will sell more then if it's kirkland and kirkland doesn't put people in seat's he had to fight in angulo's backyard and Erik Morales

Sulaiman has just confirmed that he'll try to enforce the mandatory title fight with Kirkland for September 15 according to a PR newspaper.

                    Sulaiman-It'll be Kirkland

Molina would give Canelo all he can handle. GB wouldn't risk a fight with Kirkland simply because of his punching power. Although Alvarez would be the favor, Kirkland would still be too much of a risk.
