This is the first time Groves has said something ******, so I'll let it go. He usually has his head on his shoulders - Which is where it wont be if he gets in the ring with Froch.

Whilst I agree with the general theme of this thread, that he isn't ready for a fighter of Froch's calibre, I have to point out that he isn't anything like as far away as some of you are suggesting. He is no. 6 in the ring magazine rankings, placed higher than 4 of the fighters from the super 6. I don't know if that position is a bit lofty but he has a victory over the european champion and I would fancy him to handle a fringe fighter like Brian Magee.

Obviously when all is said and done these rankings aren't worth ****, but I think in this case show that Groves is closer to the summit of the division than you lot are giving him credit for, and I think that entitles him to **** the drum for a big domestic showdown somewhere down the line. I dare say Froch is encouraging him to do so.

I bet he breathes a big sigh of relief if he reads this. Narrow escape for Groves.

Saying he'd love to fight Carl Froch is ******? It's exactly the type of thing he should be saying at this point of his career.

Groves is a very good fighter and is knocking on the door of world level, it's a fight I wouldn't mind seeing in the next year or two.

              Nowhere near ready for Froch.

Think he still owes Anderson a shot and a maybe a few European level scraps before he even thinks about the elite level.

I do hope Froch moves up to 175 & whoops Cleverly though.

i was listening on 5live and gg did not say anything ****** at all.
he and adam booth were co-commentating on the bout and after the fight when asked a number of questions was cornered into answering as to whether he would fight carl froch.........
ofcourse he will not say no but, he didnt say when did he? no.
he already knows he is a few fights from here but, just remember what gg done to dirrell in sparring for his win over that previously unbeaten amateur olympic gold medalist.....was his name? anyway, movin on...
he floored dirrell and clumped him round the earhole so hard that it perforated the ****s eardrum.
at the moment, bearing in mind i am a massive fan of both our boys(unlike many new froch fans after the other night that were running him down before) i would have to say that the saint aint ready and would most likely get kod.
but, hes a fighter and like carl has already proved, would face anybody anywhere......unlike the yankee fighters.(who just happen to own the world on everything) wankers.

oh, and another thing that just makes me laugh is when somebody on here is posting a view, they have to display their favourite fighter lists.......and guess what?
unlike before the other night, people rate carl froch as a top boy.
                  idiots.
                  advice, be consistent.
                  wankers.

Pretty sure Groves has already been in the ring with Froch.
