Great news for the Cobra. Guys I know at work, who only know Haye and Khan in terms of UK boxers, have been talking about Froch-Bute at the weekend. They hever knew who he was until Saturday night.

He is finally getting the recognition he deserves.

which got closer to 500k viewers ... so if this got over 600k then obviously it's the new best. Of course boxing can get big numbers like this on Sky ... it's just 90% of the big fights take place on the other side of the world at 5 in the morning. If Tyson Fury can get close to 3 million viewers on channel 5 and Eubank Jr 1 million then the UK is boxing's oyster if they bothered putting the effort in.

Anyway Froch really deserves all this.

I'm not saying he didn't just rather take the networks word for it than the promoters. If the fight was on PPV the ratings would have been poor so Carl should thank his mate Haye.

12am was fine for me, i had fallen asleep during the England/Norway match. There's something about Englands style of play that sends me right off, so i woke up perfectly for the fight.
