Fighting in the UK would make all the difference and if he pressed the fight instead of fighting off of the back foot, he'd dominate.
Totally agreed. Froch won the first fight close but clear. It wouldn't be the first time a frenzied home crowd influenced both the scoring and the perception of the outcome of a fight.

My only hope is that Kessler is somehow favored by the bookies in the rematch. I'll go all the way to Vegas to make a healthy bet on Froch if the fight is made for Nottingham.

Both guys are warriors. It would be a great fight and most exciting that can be made at super middle.

Im not interetsed in Ward rematching either guy unless he returns the favour to both and fights in their backyard wich I doubt he will ever do. He has too much skill to lose to either but becuase his style is ugly, holding, headbutting and has no power it guarantees a poor 12 rounder. I bet he is gutted he didnt step up to fight Bute and watched that defining win got to Froch. Ward woyuld have beat Bute like he did Allan Green.

Kessler vs Froch is what everyone wants to see. I like both guys and they are good for the sport. Another close 12 rounder though regardless where is takes place. Kess can **** and will trade and Carl looked better than ever. Tough to bet on this one.

This is what we've been waiting for.

I had the first fight dead even, it was a storming fight. Both guys have styles that mesh perfectly to create wild action and excitement. In the UK, I think Froch wins a close one.

Wicked. I'm all up for that. Their first fight was one of the best toe to toe wars I've seen in years, and the second best Froch fight to date (first being Pascal). Would give the edge to Froch now, since Kessler looks a little faded of late and Froch fighting in front of his hometown would boost him to deliver an exceptional performance. Still, The Blond Bomber's one of the most dangerous men in the SMW div and seriously hurt Froch in their first fight to both body and head.

Mate, I've watched that fight four times, with British, American and Danish (?) commentary and once without sound. Kessler won every time. Ironically, I had it widest for Kess with the British broadcast. One of the commentators, I forget which, just about jizzed himself at a wild haymaker Kess landed in the late rounds and was just generally making out Kess to be the better fighter, which he was, but not by that great a margin. The "Danish" commentary was even more enthusiastic, but since I couldn't understand a word of it and was already primed for bias, it didn't affect me as much.

I agree that Froch needs to press the attack more if he wants to get to Kess, but he can't just barrel forward or he's going to eat some big shots. Kess loves a toe to toe war, and has the power to make Froch pay if he gets too reckless. Froch would probably try to unsettle Kess with dirty shots, rabbit punches in the clinch, low blows and so on, and try to press him back to the ropes where he can unload. Kessler would do well to target Froch's body again and dart in and out with his jabs and right straights. He can't get too sloppy with his wide left hook or he's going to eat jabs all night.

This fight will be a barnburner and it needs to happen.

If Carl is to beat Kessler he has to be more active but that doesnt mean getting involved more. The way he beat Bute was to ambush him after he led and it worked. Thats because Bute invited him onto the ropes. I think there was one shot in round 3 where Bute got hurt, opened his guard took a step back to the ropes and let Carl unload. Fight off the ropes if you are Floyd but not if you have no defensive game. When Bute is hurt he naturally tries to hide and grab whereas Kessler naturally throws back.

Those tactics wont work with Kessler because I cant imagine him backing up on the ropes and convering up. Also Carl was prepared to walk through Butes shots but he was willing to do that last time he fought Kessler because he felt the power. Kessler knocked Green cold and will be too dangerous for Carl to try and walk through.

Mcracken will come up with the right tactics im sure and I imagine they will consists of the jab and bursts of punches. He wont go to war with Kess until he has to otherwise thats asking for trouble. Winnable fight for Carl next time.

"Ill come to England, he came to Denmark, so why not"? I like that attitude from Mikkel.
Froch looked amazing against Bute, but Mikkel is something else. If I was Froch I'd sign rather sooner than later...

Kessler like Ward are like Kryptonite to Froch. I can see Kessler making Froch look old in this one, I really do.

                      I look forward to this.

Could end up being a trilogy like someone mentioned.

I just hope Froch doesn't buy into the hype some of his fans are buying right now. Could end up being a long night otherwise.
